Both the mentor and apprentice will be given certain rewards according to the intimacy

Mentor-apprentice System: DNF has a unique mentor-apprentice system. When both the mentor and apprentice are online, the intimacy between them will be increased. Both the mentor and apprentice will be given Runescape2 Gold certain rewards according to the intimacy and the number of apprentices online.

Establishing Mentor-Apprentice Relation, on the mentor-apprentice Window, click "Acknowledge", Input the name of the other player, and click "Acknowledge"

a) If the other player level is lower than yours, then you will be his/her mentor.

b) If the other player level is higher than yours, then you will be his/her apprentice.

Terms on Successful Mentor-Apprentice Relation Building

Additional Effect Mentor: According to the intimacy and the number of apprentices online, mentor can have following rewards:

a) Gold Rewards: when the mentor's level is below 20, a certain amount of the Gold that apprentices acquired can be turned into mentor's reward.

b) Fatigue Rewards: when the mentor reaches Level 20 or above, a certain amount of the EXP that apprentices acquired can be turned into mentor Fatigue.

Apprentice

When the mentor is online, a certain amount of the EXP the apprentice acquired will be turned into additional EXP rewards given to himself/herself.

Dissolving Mentor-Apprentice Relation

On the Mentor-Apprentice Window, left-click on the character you would like to dissolve relation with and select "Remove Family Member" from the menu to dissolve mentor-apprentice relation.
